KFC CopyCat Recipe

Hi,

I know why you’re here so let’s get right into it!!

 Potato Wedges

  1. Set up two large bowls.
  2. BOWL 1: whisk 1cup milk and 1 egg together.
  3. BOWL 2: combine 1 cup flour, 2tbsp seasoned salt, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1tsp black pepper, 1tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  4. Peel and scrub 5 Russet potatoes clean
  5. Slice potatoes in halves then into ¼ inch to ½ inch thick wedges.
  6. Once cut let the potatoes sit in the milk and egg mixture.
  7. In a large pot, heat canola oil to 375 degrees. (make sure pot is a little over half full of oil)
  8. Take a handful of the potatoes out of the milk mixture with tongs.
  9. Toss in the flour mixture.
  10. Fry in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Once all the batches are done with the first round of frying, fry them a
  12. second time for 4-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Bbq chicken

  1. Marinate in 1 cup buttermilk for at least 2hrs if you have the time if not just skip this step it’s ok
  2. Mix together 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 2tbsp seasoned salt, 1tbsp sea salt, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1tsp black pepper, 1tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  3. Coat 3lbs chicken wings in flour mixture (I like to buy whole wings and cut them in half)
  4. Canola oil should be at least 375 degrees before you drop the chicken
  5. Once oil is heated drop the chicken into the oil for at least 10 min (once the chicken begins to float it’s good to go)
